DIY Mini Registry

       Since I have started this blog I have been using Adobe Illustrator a lot.  
The more I use it the more easy and fun it has become to work with.  
Today I was messing around and decided to make my own mini registry logs.
I made some with images on them already and one blank if you want to decorate your own.
There are also a few different color options for the filler papers.
 
I printed out a blank one and drew a quick fishy on it.
Also, I only have a mini stapler that does not reach the middle
so I had to improvise with a thick needle and some embroidery thread.

The datacenter of North Carolina more questions than answers

Is very strange that one of the troubling questions that we put hours before the WWDC was if Apple thought show or speak some of the data center built in North Carolina. There was reason to suspect that, Yes, especially when you could see the facilities from Google Maps and knowing that part of the operation of iCloud should be attributed to this colossal building. And that was the case, while the time allowed to talk about this place not been reached or the sixty seconds of almost two hours that lasted the keynote.


This small time allocated, as well as the tone half-joke of the description which did Jobs of the datacenter has not answered any question related to him. What was he to know in the keynote? It is very large, that it is full of things, expensive things, and little more. Good Ah yes, also mentioned something about the ecological aspect of the facilities, in the words of Jobs "is as green as we have been able to do so"... and nothing more.


This has made address to some bloggers, and with reason, that Apple should have mentioned specific aspects of this bid for the green, especially considering that:

Any data center as this is a real consumer of energy, are not talking about a few Watts consumption, talk about 100 megawatts according to estimates from environmentalists, the equivalent to the consumption of electricity of 80,000 American households or 250,000 Europeans, i.e. what consumes a city size medioHay users that give importance to this fact when making decisions about what service will usein fact, I think that everyone should decide based on data rather than mere phrases with little or nothing of consistent information. Apple is the leader in sales and loyalty, a model to be followed by thousands of companies and individuals, and its more or less green philosophy could push them to raise more ecological policies in their own firms.There are methods, standards, to measure how efficient is an installation of data and should not stolen much of the speech to mention some of them, sure EUP that have in their possession.

The fact is that the silence of Apple in this regard suggests that perhaps they have not got a great energy to the Center, or that they are working to improve and therefore do not wish to provide data still. We will wait for the company to give a ruling thereon, especially knowing that they have to Greenpeace to monitor them constantly.

Two curiosities of iOS 5 notification LED and vibration patterns

All the news of iOS 5 submitted Monday by Apple, there are two which have struck me powerfully: notifications through the LED the camera flash and configuration of vibration patterns. With these two systems the company is thinking of making progress in the field of personalization in the latter case, and accessibility in the first.


Talking first about the notifications by the LED that serves as the rear camera flash on the iPhone. But yes you can assign different types of vibration to our contacts in a similar way to like because we can make the call or SMS tones depending on who is the sender.
